The charts below indicate the prices gold, silver and platinum are trading at in US dollars, per ounce. At The Gold Standard we base our payout on 3 factors: 1) the purity of the item, i.e. 10K gold or 14K gold, 2) the weight of the item, and 3) the price that gold is trading at for the day. Historical Gold Price Chart

Gold prices are breaking new records daily, now trading at the highest price in history. Gold is trading at nearly $1600 per ounce, vs. $300 per ounce in 2000. The graph below details a 15 year history of the price of gold. Many ask how the price of gold directly affects them. Simply put, your gold jewelry is worth 4x as much now as it was in 2000. This has led many to take advantage of what many call the Modern Day Gold Rush, and earn some quick, easy cash by selling their old, broken or unwanted jewelry.
